Chris Peloso

Software Engineer

About Me

Hey! My name is Christopher Peloso and I am a programmer from Rhode Island. I’m a graduate from New England Institute of Technology, with a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering.

I graduated from high school in 2016 and hadn't studied any computer science topics. I was in the Graphic Communications vocational program for three years where I learned basic principles of graphic design. I was also on our SkillsUSA leadership team, where I helped organize events to raise money to send our classmates to nationwide competitions.

I didn’t know what I wanted to do after high school and decided to go to CCRI for a semester while I figured that out. I took a very basic programming class – which I loved! – and decided it was what I wanted to do. After that semester ended, I went to New England Institute of Technology and officially began my career path. I ended up getting my BS in Software Engineering in March 2020. I secured my first job within a week of graduating and have been working in the field as a software engineer ever since. I currently work as a Programmer Analyst at a large insurance company, AIPSO.

One of my strongest skills is my ability to adapt myself to new and unknown situations. I look forward to overcoming the challenges my field brings me and am constantly looking to evolve my mindset when it comes to problem solving.
